To develop skills and knowledge to enable members of the Emergency Control Organisation to effectively perform their specific roles during an emergency.

OBJECTIVE

To provide knowledge and practical experience in extinguisher operation on actual fires. Identifies the various classes of fires, suitable equipment and extinguishing agents to be used. Defines the roles and limitations of First Attack Fire Fighters, and identifies hazards associated with fires. This course includes hands-on experience with several types of fire fighting equipment on various classes of fires.

SUGGESTED FOR

Large industrial sites with large fuel loads and/or high risk environments. Advanced refresher training for selected members of the Emergency Control Organisation and specialist first attack fire fighting teams personnel.

DURATION

120-150 minutes, conducted at a suitable fire training facility.

 

 

OBJECTIVE

To provide awareness of the difficulties some people experience during an evacuation. To develop skills and an understanding of these difficulties, which would enable the Emergency Control Organisation to manage the emergency more effectively.

To develop skills and knowledge of the appropriate actions to take when dealing with suspicious items and bomb threats.
